Arrival at Entebbe Airport and Hotel Check-in for Relaxation
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Mooi Adventures representative will meet and warmly welcome you to Uganda. After a short briefing about your 12 Days Uganda Safari Experience, you’ll transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe for relaxation. Depending on your arrival time, optional activities such as visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, or a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Victoria can be arranged.
This day is intentionally kept light to give travelers time to recover from long flights and prepare for the adventures ahead. Entebbe’s calm environment, combined with friendly hospitality, makes for a smooth start. Overnight will be at Airport Guest House, a charming property offering comfort, warm meals, and convenience.

Road Transfer to Murchison Falls with Rhino Tracking and Hike
After breakfast, the safari begins with a scenic drive northward to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most famous park. Along the way, you will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to the country’s only wild rhinos. With the guidance of experienced rangers, you’ll embark on a memorable rhino tracking walk, allowing you to observe these gentle giants from a safe distance.
The 12 Days Uganda Safari Experience journey continues into Murchison Falls, where the highlight awaits a hike to the top of the falls. Here, the mighty Nile River squeezes through a 7-meter gorge before plunging 43 meters into a roaring cauldron below, creating a thunderous spectacle. This natural wonder is one of Uganda’s most breathtaking sights and a fantastic introduction to the park. By evening, you will settle into Bamboo Village Safari Lodge surrounded by wildlife-rich savannah.

Guided Game drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up early for a game drive across the northern savannah plains of Murchison Falls. The park’s vast landscapes host elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and lions. With some luck, you may also spot a leopard basking in the early morning sun. Bird lovers will enjoy sightings of African fish eagles, ground hornbills, and bee-eaters.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls. The riverbanks teem with crocodiles, hippos, and herds of elephants quenching their thirst. The cruise provides close encounters with wildlife as well as excellent photographic opportunities. Afterward, guests can opt for a short hike to the “Devil’s Cauldron” for closer views of the falls. Return to Bamboo Village Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Transfer to Fort Portal
After breakfast, set off for fort portal a journey that passes through the scenic Albertine Rift Valley, lush tea plantations, and vibrant local towns. This long but rewarding drive showcases Uganda’s rural beauty, dotted with rolling hills and smiling communities.
Lunch will be at Fortal, and we will arrive to the hotel in the afternoon to relax for the day. We will spend the night at Isunga Lodge, which offers a nice stay in the forest.

Tea Experience, Crater lake Drive and Queen Elizabeth Safari Drive
This day begins with an early morning tea plantation visit, where you will learn about the process of tea planting and harvesting, as well as the lives of the plantation communities and workers. Following that, you will experience a scenic crater drive over the region’s crater lakes.
Afterward, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for the afternoon for a boat tour in the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. The waterway is well-known for its large populations of hippos and crocodiles, as well as its diverse wildlife, which includes African skimmers and pelicans. Watching elephants and buffaloes cluster along the shoreline as you glide softly past is a classic safari scene.

Morning Chimpanzee Trekking and Afternoon Game drive
Before going into the bush for a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience in Kyambura gorge, we will go to the park headquarters in the morning for a briefing, regarding the guidelines we must adhere to for the chimpanzee’s protection, the preservation of the forest .After being assigned to our group and heading into the jungle, the hike takes between 2 and 5 hours seeking for the chimps. Once you meet the family, you will only be allowed an hour to be in their presence and observe their day-to-day lives in their natural habitant.
Later have an afternoon game drive in Queen Elizabeth, where you may encounter leopards, hyenas, elephants, and hippos returning from grazing. The park’s varied ecosystems from savannah plains to crater lakes make it one of Uganda’s most rewarding wildlife destinations.

Game Drive through Ishasha and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth, famous for its tree-climbing lions. With luck, you may spot these unique predators lounging on fig tree branches, a sight rarely seen elsewhere in Africa.
Continue southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The scenic drive passes through terraced highlands, tea plantations, and friendly villages. Overnight will be at Bweza Gorilla Lodge, located near the Rushaga sector of Bwindi.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kisoro
This is the highlight of your 12 Days Uganda Safari Experience —mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi. The day begins with breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla safety guidelines and the hike before heading into the forest for an unforgettable experience. The journey not only offers gorillas but also a range of magnificent birds and butterflies, forest mammals, and gorgeous flora and wildlife.
The trek can take between 2 to 6 hours, but the reward is immense, you will trek deep into the rain forest and once you locate one of the habituated gorilla families. your allowed spending one full hour observing gorillas as they interact naturally in their habitat. This rare encounter is often described as a life-changing experience.
After the trek in the Afternoon, we will proceed to Kisoro for a relaxed supper and overnight stay.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early morning breakfast, we will transfer to the Mgahinga National park headquarters for a briefing on what to expect. The trek takes you through the beautiful bamboo of Mgahinga National Park, it is usually less demanding than gorilla trekking but still full of beautiful encounters and excitement. Once you find them, you will be allowed an hour to observe them in their natural habitat before returning.
After the challenging treks, we shall transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation, renowned as the “Switzerland of Africa.” This gorgeous lake, sprinkled with 29 islands, offers a tranquil location for thought and pleasure.
This tranquil area is great for recuperating after gorilla trekking while taking in beautiful views of the rolling highlands. The overnight stay will be at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort, a lovely lakeside resort.

Canoe boat experience and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing canoe boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi and explore some of the notable islands on the lake, such as the Punishment Island, with their rich history, after transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but one of the most diverse. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for relaxation dinner and overnight.

Walking Safari and Evenning Game drive
Begin the day with a walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park providing an intimate encounter with the park’s wildlife. Walk beside the tall, peaceful giraffes and zebras in the park with the company of a professional ranger and learn about the park’s eco system.
Lake Mburo’s relaxed setting makes it one of Uganda’s most rewarding places for close-range photography.
In the afternoon, Head out for an evening game drive inside Lake Mburo National Park. This is the perfect time to spot zebras, impalas, elands, and buffaloes grazing across the savannah, witness beautiful and uncommon birds like the Swifts, Kites, eagles, gonolek, kingfishers, and if you’re lucky, you might sight leopards.

Transfer to Entebbe and Departure
Following a leisurely breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe, taking in the scenery of Uganda’s countryside, including rolling hills, farmland, and local villages.
You will stop near the Uganda Equator Line to take great photos. Stand with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern Hemisphere, eat lunch, then proceed to Entebbe for your departure flight.
